WHAT YOU NEED FOR BRACELET:

• Recycled ukulele or guitar strings
• Silver crimp beads, size no 2
• E-beads or spacers
• Toggle clasp
• Wire cutters
• Crimping pliers
• Measuring tape


WHAT TO DO:


• Cut ukulele/guitar string with wire cutters to 2 lengths of 23cm.
• Position the 2 cut strings close together and push them both through an e bead.
• Add the jump ring of the toggle clasp and press strings back through the e-bead so they are taut & secure.
• Slide a crimp bead through both strings and place it against the e-bead.
• Gently squeeze the crimp bead with crimping pliers – not too much or it will break.
• Twist the two guitar strings around one another. Start directly after the crimp bead. At the 2.5cm mark, place another crimp bead onto string and crimp with pliers. Push on another at 2.5cm, crimp with pliers and so forth until spaced almost all the way along the string.
• Measure the bracelet between 17- 20cm depending on size of wrist and add the last e-bead. Then add the other part of the toggle. Push the strings back through the e-bead until tightened.


WHAT YOU NEED FOR EARRINGS:

• Recycled ukulele or guitar strings
• Toothpick
• 2 x French wire earring findings
• Silver crimp beads, size no 2
• E-beads or spacers
• Toggle clasp
• Wire cutters
• Crimping pliers
• Measuring tape


WHAT TO DO:

• Cut two pieces of the coiled ukulele string to desired length.
• Take one of the strings and tightly wrap it around the toothpick to make a spring form. Keep the string taut because the string is flexible

• Take one string and slip the end through the hole of one French wire earring finding and keep it looped over.
• From the bottom of the string, carefully push an e-bead up toward the top making sure the string doesn’t lose it’s spring shape.
• Grasp the end of the looped top string and push it through the e-bead until secure.
• You can add additional beads if desired. Let some of the string show. End with a crimp bead to keep other beads in place. Press the last one with crimping pliers.
• Earrings are complete!
