What do you get when you take an island off the southeast coast of Africa, Jez Smith, a deep water ‘pose’ dive, dinner with Jen, DOUBLE the photoshoots and an elimination?
Three models STRAIGHT through to the Top Model Finale, that’s what!
Yep, Shenali, Duckie and Melissa are now through to the finale - with one of their faces heading straight for a Harper’s Bazaar cover. (As for Abbie, she’ll be on the next plane to catwalk so we needn’t worry about her - love that girl!)
In view of the fact that we all need to vote for one of these girls, I thought we should take a closer look at their ‘module’ creds. ‘Ere goes:
And-then-some: Shenali’s list of strengths are as long as her limbs. She’s majorly fashion savvy for one, which is totally important when it comes to being a smooth operator in this business. She is forever watching her ps and qs, with a beautiful sense of respect and empathy for others, Alex’s shoes notwithstanding. This is an underestimated quality for a model - one that can reap career rewards - especially later on, if she ever wants to look at working behind-the-scenes in fashion. Reputation is everything! To add to this, she has ‘brought’ it more times that the others and by this I mean, she has nailed shoots constantly. That walking across the lens picture from tonight’s ep is EXACTLY where fashion is and where the freshly-crowned Australia’s Next Top Model needs to be heading.
And-then-some: Duckie makes up for her lack of coordination (LOL) with her hard-to-beat smile and attitude. She takes almost anything on and is happy to laugh at herself. It’s why we love her! To make matters even MORE competitive, she is LOVED by photographers (and their lenses) far and wide (puns intended). Because of this though, she may find she sometimes (over) relies on her ability to be naturally photogenic, which is exactly why she may need to focus on lifting that little bit more. Give her a few more years and she’ll be dominating!
And-then-some: Melissa’s face can do NO wrong. Nada. Zero. Nothing. It is an amazing artwork in itself that to me screams, Gemma Ward, way-back-when. However it’s been no secret that her body needs to work hard to catch-up. Again, some confidence is all she needs to shine even brighter. And we can’t wait to see it.
So when model push comes to model shove, I think Shenali will take this thing home (and then direct to NYC/LONDON/PARIS/MILAN) She is cooked and ready-to-go!
Yours, prepping my hair in anticipation of the finale (!!!)
