Hometown: Frisco, Texas
Occupation: Fifth-grade teacher
Sunny Sinclair, the youngest of four daughters, was born in Dallas and grew up in a close-knit family in
Texas. She was overweight as a child, and being singled out as a "fat kid" when chosen by a school
counselor to participate in an after-school program for overweight children negatively affected her selfimage.
She maintained a healthy weight in high school by playing a variety of sports; but during her last
semester in college after becoming pregnant, she gained 100 lbs. in one year's time when she began
student teaching.
She earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from Angelo State
University, and is currently working on graduate classes at the University of North Texas. Feeling like
she couldn't break her addiction to food on her own, Sunny tried out for "The Biggest Loser" in the
hopes of learning to live a balanced life where food is not her primary focus.
Now the married, 41-yearold
mother of a 15-year-old son, Sunny is 277 lbs. and looks forward to riding bikes with her family and
playing tennis with her husband after she loses the weight.
