Spaghetti and Meatballs
WHAT YOU
NEED:
- 2 tbsp
olive oil
- 2 medium
brown onions (finely chopped)
- 2 garlic
cloves (crushed)
- 400g beef
mince
- 1 tbsp
tomato sauce
- ¼ cup
fresh breadcrumbs
- ½ cup
grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cans of
watties basil tomatoes
- 375g of
dried spaghetti
WHAT TO DO:
1. Heat the oil in a frying pan at a medium/high heat. Add half of your onion and cook
for 5 minutes or until softened. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
2. Pop your mince,
tomato sauce, breadcrumbs and Parmesan in a bowl and mix it all together.
3. Roll the
mince mixture into teaspoon sized balls (make sure your hands are nice and
clean for this!)
4. Add the
remaining onion to pan and cook until softened.
5. Add tomatoes
and ½ cup of cold water.
6. Bring to the
boil then reduce heat to low and simmer until slightly thickened.
7. Return
meatballs to pan and simmer for 10 mins until meatballs are cooked through and
sauce has thickened.
8. Lastly cook
your spaghetti using the packet instructions and serve the meatballs!
