Sarah has an obsession with the colour pink and leopard print, stretching from her clothes and shoes right through to the interior of her car. "Everybody calls me the leopard girl – my whole room is leopard, like my doona and my curtains and everything!" she confesses.
Beaming with confidence, Sarah does promotional work and has been modelling since she was 12 years old. She also takes the occasional hip hop class and gives her friends spray tans for fun.
"I know people look at me and think, 'Uh, blonde' straight away. "And I used to think looks meant a lot, but now I have learnt that it's so much more about personality. Looks can change but someone's kindness and beautiful heart always remains pure and that's what I'm attracted to."
And she wants to take that newfound spirit into the mansion and help teach her geek to be confident and feel comfortable in his own skin. "I don't want them to feel like they're from a different planet, because we're all the same," she says.
Sarah's biggest regret is not trying hard enough at school as she one day hopes to study natural medicine. She feels she may struggle learning from her geek because she hasn't studied in a while and is hoping to avoid politics.
"It actually scares me because I know nothing, and I'm scared they're going to whip out a question," she says. But she is aiming to show Australia there is much more to a beauty than looks.
"We aren't all 'book' smart but we can be 'life' smart and that's something I know I am – it means being good with people and making the most of the life you live and the person you are."
