WHAT YOU
NEED:
- 1 cup
sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups
plain flour
- ½ tsp
baking powder
- ¼ cup
sultanas
- ¼ cup
chopped dried apricot
- ½ cup
chopped almonds
- 1 egg
white (will separate on screen)
WHAT TO DO:
1. Preheat
the oven to 140 degrees.
2. Beat
sugar and eggs together until pale and creamy.
3. Add
flour, baking powder, sultanas, apricot, chocolate, almonds and mix well.
4. Turn onto
a floured surface and knead until firm, add a little more flour if needed.
5. Divide
the dough in half and shape into logs then place on a greased baking tray.
6. Brush
logs with beaten egg whites.
7. Place in
oven for 40 minutes.
