Leeky Fettuccine
WHAT YOU
NEED:
- Unsalted
butter 50g
- Trim milk
1 ½ cups
- 1 large
leek
- 3 thick
slices of ham
- 1 tbsp
olive oil
- 1 clove of
garlic crushed
- 1 tbsp
parsley
- 6 eggs
- Some flour
WHAT TO DO:
1. The first
thing to be done is to make the fettuccine from scratch! Check out the recipe
for making fresh pasta here!
2. Next up roll
your dough out to the desired thickness.
3. Then get on
to making your white sauce…in a pot on low heat, add 50g of butter and mix with
4 tbsp of flour until combined.
4. Add in 1-1
1/2 cups of trim milk and stir until creamy.
5. Cut your
fettuccine in to strips (with the help of someone older!)
6. Place
fettuccine in to a pot of boiling water.
7. Chop up leek
and ham, pop them in a pan with bit of oil, and fry them up as an addition to
be added to the sauce.
8. Add your
extra ingredients to the white sauce and mix together with pasta. Now you’re
ready to serve your whanau feed!
