Your 3 desert island foods (not meals)
Potatoes, sweetcorn and steak. Potato chips, hash browns, corn fritters, steak & mash… and let’s assume I find a great source of other fruit & veges on the island. And I can fish. And I have a lighter to start a cooking fire. And I find a grater and a knife buried somewhere… This is sounding trickier and trickier….
New things you want to try
I want to learn a new language this year- Spanish I think! And some sort of food I’ve never eaten before. I can’t think of anything, so if you’ve got any ideas let me know!
Describe your family:
My family are all beautiful, crazy, creative and interesting. My Mum is a nurse and she’s great at spinning her own wool and knitting. My Dad is a bit of an adventurer- he’s into fishing, diving, carving and gardening. My brothers & sisters variously play guitar, sing, sew clothes, dance, and paint. Plus they manage to fit in school & jobs. I love them all to bits.
What’s the best bargain you got over summer?
A pair of high waisted linen shorts for $2 at The Hospice Shop in Warkworth- especially handy when you’ve forgotten to pack any shorts for 2 weeks camping!
What’s your favourite smell?
Crayons, clean sheets, lemon peel. I can’t choose! Anything that doesn’t smell like a foot.
If you could have any animal as a pet what would it be?
When I’m at the beach or in a garden I always think it’d be cool if a bird came and landed on you & just hung out. Like a tui maybe, but then it lived in the wild. That’d be a cool trick.
What is the grossest thing you’ve eaten?
Walter’s cooking. No I’m kidding. It’s definitely Gerry’s cooking. Sorry, that’s mean. Mum told me I used to eat cowpat when I was a baby & learning to crawl. I don’t remember that though, so I’ll have to go with Walter’s cooking.
Favourite internet abbreviation?
I say totes a lot in real life, but not as much on the internet.
