Josh Radnor is well known to television audiences for his role as the central character on How I Met Your Mother.
Radnor was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. He began acting in high school when he auditioned on a whim and landed one of the leading roles in the musical Oklahoma! Radnor attended Kenyon College where he won the Paul Newman Acting Trophy. After college, he moved to New York where he received his Masters of Fine Arts in acting from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
While in New York, Radnor appeared in several Off-Broadway plays at the Vineyard Theater, Manhattan Theater Club and the Blue Light Theater Company. He made his Broadway debut as the title character in The Graduate opposite Kathleen Turner and Alicia Silverstone. Additionally, Radnor starred on stage in writer Joe Gilford’s play, Finks, at the Powerhouse Theatre on the grounds of Vassar College.
His feature film credits include Not Another Teen Movie. He has also had numerous guest starring roles on the small screen, including Judging Amy, Welcome to New York, Miss Match, ER, Six Feet Under and Law & Order, and was a series regular on The Court.
