Occupation: Owner of a realty company
Johnny Forger was encouraged by his children and their spouses to go on "The Biggest Loser" because
they are big fans of the series, with his son, Gregg, already having been inspired by the show to lose 80
lbs.
Johnny was born in Norwood, Massachusetts, and grew up on a farm, the eldest boy of four
children, in Stoughton, Massachusetts. He graduated from Burdett College in Boston with a business
degree, and in 1970, he started his own real estate business in Boston. In his youth, John was fit and
active, and enjoyed playing football, soccer and golf and sailing.
But he started gradually gaining weight
in his early 40s due to stress, poor diet and a sedentary lifestyle.
John wants to get healthy to better
enjoy life with Joan, his wife of 43 years, and his three grown children, and looks forward to watching
his nine grandchildren grow up.
At 65 years old and 328 lbs., John is eager to shop in regular clothing
stores when he loses the weight, and to use the knowledge he gains on the show to help others struggling
with their weight.
