Homemade Stock and Soup
WHAT YOU
NEED:
Stock:
- Leftover chicken
carcass
- Leftover
vegetables
Soup:
- Chopped
carrots, celery and onion
- Pepper
WHAT TO DO:
1. Place
chicken carcass in slow cooker and cover with water.
2. Add
leftover veggies.
3. Let it
cook for a couple of hours. The longer you reduce it, the thicker your stock
will be.
4. Strain
stock using a colander to remove the bones and then you’ve got your very own
homemade stock!
Now it’s time to make your soup with the homemade stock.
1. Pour
stock into a pot and bring to a simmer.
2. Add
chopped celery, carrot and onion.
3. Add some pepper to taste.
