Talented Glee star Darren Criss has been approached to host talent
show X Factor.
E! Online reports that Criss, who plays Blaine was recently offered the role. The
story goes on to say that according to a source Criss “politely declined the
gig”.
There has been no official comment on the offer by either
Criss or Fox, but the decision is rumoured to have been based upon the actor’s
busy schedule.
Criss has recently finished filming the feature film Imogene
with Kristen Wiig, Matt Dillon and Annette Bening. Also currently in post-production is the film The
Chicago 8 in which Criss also appears.
In spite of turning down X Factor, Criss will be appearing
at next month’s ACT (American Conservatory Theater) Gala in San Francisco.
Other Glee stars are also set for public appearances with
Naya Rivera, Cory Monteith and Dianna Agron hosting at the GLAAD Awards.
The trio will be hosts for a pair of the 23rd Media Awards for
the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.
