Well hello Gleeks!  Firstly, how awesome is it to be just days behind the States?!  Thank you, Fast FOUR!  Secondly, WOW – season four is off to a great start!  A lot has changed for sure, but there's still a lot to love.  For me, this first episode was all about the characters.       

Glee-tastic

1. Cassandra July.  She's like the new old Sue Sylvester, isn't she?   I was actually quite impressed; Kate Hudson plays the teacher from hell extremely well.  Super sexy and not a bad voice either.      

2. Dean Geyer as Brody Weston.  Do I need to say more?  Oh 'em glee, hottie alert! 

3. Marley Rose.  I like her character so far.  I think she brings a different but good new energy to the New Directions.  Love her voice; it's unlike anyone else's so she adds a fresh new sound to the group.

4. Kurt and dad saying goodbye – what a beautiful scene and touching father-son moment.  I'm not ashamed to admit I got a bit teary-eyed!

5. Speaking of Kurt, I love his new hair!  Has a very cool "Elvis" quality to it.

6. I am also really loving Rachel's New York look, especially that giant floppy orange beanie!

Glee-sastrous

1. Rory Flanagan seems to have been written off completely with no explanation as to where he has disappeared to.  Weren't he and Sugar Motta an item?  It feels like he was never even a part of the New Directions.  Dislike!     

2. He's got a great voice but I'm already over Jake's attitude.  I get that he's meant to be kind of like Puck pre-New Directions but I think it almost seems too convenient and "lazy" to just recycle that story.  I'm hoping there will be more to this story in the coming weeks.

3. Last season Quinn went through a rebellious stage, looks like this season it's Tina.  I don't know if diva really suits her though and the personal assistant seems a bit much...

4. The new "head bitch" is certainly living up to her name!  I don't like that she seems to have taken over as Sue's "right hand (wo)man" – what's happened to Becky?

My Glee Forecast

1. I have a feeling Rachel is going to eventually rat Cassandra out on the drinking.

2. I sense a romance on the horizon between Brody and Rachel.  He's definitely interested...

3. Blaine may be the new Rachel but with time, Marley could actually be the way to go.

Next week – bring on Britney 2.0!  And maybe, for old time's sake, a Brittany-ism or two?
