Achieve a 1950s do with body and movement just with hot rollers and hairspray! Troy shows us how.
For a smooth look, straighten the hair first to smooth it into place. Divide the hair into sections and start with the underside first. Take your time and don't rush this part of the process. Spray the hair with a dash of hairspray before brushing the spray through. This ensures a polished look. Use a split end treatment on the ends of the hair to avoid flyaways.
To maintain long locks, take a break from straightening and blow drying to limit dehydration. Try a satin pillowcase and use a leave in conditioner once a week. Soft, moisturized hair is the key to maintain long locks.
To protect colour you need to do a few things to keep the vibrant tone and lock in the moisture. After colouring, wait three days before shampooing to allow colour to absorb. Before swimming, apply a leave-in conditioner to damp hair to prevent colour being stripped. To avoid fading, cover hair with a scarf whilst sitting in the sun. Smoothing in a treatment serum daily will keep it moisturized.
